What are the consequences of media hatred and discrimination?

The consequences of media hatred and discrimination are very severe because they can cause depression, alienation, sexism, division of religion and so on. In general, they are used via media to target an even bigger population because nowadays, media is the biggest pool filled with information. To recognized the consequences we were introduced to the problem tree, where the trunk is the problem, the roots are the causes of the problem and the branches are the consequences. We tackled problems such as propaganda, hate speech, seixism, influencer's life style and so on. -Step forward, how getting into the shoes of other changes us.On of the excersizes that we had today was the step forward excersize. This activity was very important because it allowed us to place ourselves in the shoes of someone that most of us have never met. The activity began by all of us pulling out a role from a hat, and understanding the role through questions. Then there were statements which focused on basic human needs. If our rolehad those human needs we would take a step forward. This activity was very difficult for people that did not get the roles that would take a lot of steps. They reported that they felt very angry that they could not do anything about the situation to change it. On the other hand, people that took a lot of steps felt that they were given some sort of advantage that was not based on anything extraordinary they did but on the circumstances around which they were born. By being able to understand different perspectives, and stepping into these shoes we are given the opportunity to analyze society on another level. By understanding the roots of society's problems we can start thinking about sollutions.
